reminder that philosophy discussion belongs on /his/. philosophy is not literature. If mods weren't shitcunts they'd ban all philosophy posters.

I have a solution:
Ban all spics and indians.
Ban weebcels and /tv/ fags

I think phil is in a weird limbo between art and science. forgot who said that. Its systematic in preformance, but by its own nature, the system can change by perspective. There is someone who talked about its in between aspect that i forgot.

In the myriad turds that clutter the catalogue, from e-celeb/youtube/twitter screenshots, /pol/-tier race-baiting politics threads, soijack spam, to /r9k/ '"I'm a pathetic loser, fix me" blog posts, you find philosophy threads the most objectionable?

Yah, its sad. I guess he thinks (incorrectly) that it will go away if the phil part of the board left (it wont, it will just make the dialogue even more aids than it already is. Without the pretenses of some philosophy to gild their turds, they will just be regular turds.)

Just much worse quality posts. On /lit/ people at least pretend to read primary sources. Most of /his/ is almost entirely regurgitation of Youtube topics and vids. And there is a difference between phoned in poopoopeepee lit shitposts, and the brain numbing midwittery that is /his/ which thinks its smart. You can get some decent discourse on /lit/ if you present your post well enough, you wont find much from /his/, just people acting like they are way smarter than they actually are.

Why is it, then, that they exist on practically every board regardless of topic? Boards which have nothing to do with philosophy?

>> No.16342138

Every time I come here, I either see the following:
1. A lot of posts about religion.
2. A lot of posts about philosophy
3. Normalfag literature
4. some faggot's bookshelf

In my opinion, I think /lit/ is fine. I see some good posts about some actual literature but even those are reddit-tier. Users that are reading actual literature are not really posting all the time. /lit/ really is a good board and slow.
What needs to stop are the annoying writing threads. I firmly believe everyone on here just read some sort of "edgy" book just because they thought they were special because they were not like "most kids," and now think they have some sort of high iq. This is as good as it gets, but you should instead criticize the people who use the board.
Also, every "post modern" book nowadays is some kike bullshit trying to get men to cut their dicks and women to be miserable. The amount of pseuds on this planet at the moment is unprecedented.
Even the normie-chads are throwing "Critical theory" at you, but we all know they are delusional.
I come here every now and then to write a long post like this one, or several, just to show that I guess this is because of the political climate.
Also, philosophy and literature go hand in hand.

>> No.16342191

I don't think it's in between. It's squarely within science, just at the most theoretical, abstract end. If you look at history, it's basically the mother of sciences. Once a form of philosophical inquiry becomes systematic and routinized enough in its methodology, it is spun off as a new 'science'.

The medium is the message. /lit/ was never good. I've been here since 2005 and it's always been trash, it's just now days people post soijacks instead of owls. It's all the same shit. The forced meme of David Foster Wallace reaction images was just as incessant as the buff chad shitposting is now. Exchange one stimuli for another, keep the format the same, thus nothing ever changes.
