Of course they should. As men it's our responsibility to do a far better job of educating women. Sadly, modern society has largely left this job in the hands of women... to the detriment of us all. So much of our societal pressure in our current climate, in terms of male-female dynamics, is stuck within a negative feedback loop.

90% of modern woman will not see any value in the Iliad or the Odyssey, or Hesiod. They tend to focus on the plight of Briseis, Penelope, Helen, etc. and dismiss the rest as male power fantasies. But there is no reason why in two or three generations this insular mindset couldn't be corrected. It won't be of course... but that shouldn't stop us from trying.
