"What's Wrong with the World?" by G K Chesterton

My favorite has been "A Poem of Force" by Weil for a while. She is such an invigorating writer; I hope to learn from her.

I enjoyed "Fascinating Fascism" by Sontag recently on NYRB. Gave me a lot of thought since I am currently reading Mishima. Sontag is quite perceptive. I hope to read her whole archive on NYRB.

I think Nietzsche's essay "David Strauss as Confessor and Writer" is underrated. His savaging of Strauss is quite entertaining, and the term he coined in that essay, "culitivated phillistine", is due for a comeback in our world of Fandom Studies and university courses on Harry Potter.
