I'm almost done. I'll never be published but I think I'll let my therapist and a few friends read it. At the very least, I'm proud of myself for finishing it.

Second novel is on hold because I decided to do a book of spoken word instead. Been having a lot of fun with it and the words have been flowing a lot easier. Still early going tho.

Good work anon. Ever consider investing $500-1k into getting a cover, half-decent editing job, and formatting to get it up on Amazon? That's what I did.

I'm almost ready to write the first sentence. Any day now

Close as fuck to my 90k word 1st draft.

I've thought about it, but I've felt like self publishing on Amazon is like spitting in the ocean. There's no way to stand out and I know nothing about marketing.

holy shit man, how do you expect readers to remember all their names?

Oh, for sure. I've sold absolutely nothing (a dozen or two copies) but it feels good to own a physical copy of a book you wrote and it looks good on job applications.

The fiverr marketing meme didn't work for me :(

How much did you sell your book for? I was thinking three dollars since there's no guarantee of quality

I've finally figured out the overall plot trajectory. Now I've separated it into about twenty 2500 word 'chapters' and I'm working through one at a time, aiming for one a day three days a week. 2500 words takes me about 2 hours. So far I'm on target after one one week, so that's about 8000 words.

Where's the writing general anon? Thread died two days ago and now there's nowhere to talk about writing with likeminded anons
