Films are superior to books. You can't acutely describe visuals and movements in a non-generic way, the choice will always be left by the reader, minimizing author's intent and originality. You can't have cool music over your book scenes making it a incomplete form of art. People say books avantage over film is that it can describe emotions and inner pov but movies are also capable of doing that with voiceover they just don't do it much because of style and because movies are made short while books are incapable of doing the things movies can do listed above. Also most books are about nothing, old men boring lives and masturbatory pseudo intellectual random shit that adds nothing, literature fucking sucks and readers are retarded little gnomes scratching over scribbles

Beckett's novels could never be made into films. Ditto most of Faulkner. Gravity's Rainbow could work as a 10-15 episode tv show but it would suck. Comparing different artforms is pointless, they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
