It's a fine translation for literary purposes. Ideally we ought to learn Greek instead.

Just read Homer, Hesiod, Pindar, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, Herodotus, Thucydides, Apollonius, Aesop, Presocratic fragments, Plato, Aristotle, Hellenistic philosophers, Virgil, Ovid, Plutarch, Alexandrian poets, Homeric hymns, etc. It's not that hard retards
