Closed down in 2018 the day before I returned to the city to finish my degree. They were wall to wall used books, every kind, and everywhere. They were setup in this old downtown house, two floors of floor to ceiling books. It was so comfy walking through and browsing. Now there are literally 0 used book stores in my city. You're forced to either buy new from Amazon or buy new from Indigo (with their tiny collection). The government should bailout used bookstores. They are the backbone of the reading public.

I love Italian food, but it's certainly not as flavorful as some other regions. There's a Moroccan place that serves awesome stew in my city. There's also a nonspecific-African food stand that serves some of the best Lamb I've ever tasted.

Yes. Was a bookstore called Logos. I was at UCSC for two years, and I must have spent hundreds of hours at Logos. Was really a terrific bookstore. The guy who ran it also owned the building so he was able to keep it open even when it didn't make money, but eventually he wanted to retire and nobody wanted to buy the bookstore from him to keep it open, and I guess there was nobody else to hand it off to, so he just closed up shop. It was great. 2 stories, with 1.5 of them devoted to books (probably 90% used and with super affordable and fair prices). The other part of the store was dedicated to vinyl lps.

History and philosophy sections were outstanding. Ended up buying the foundation of my personal library there, and it was really a pretty nice sanctuary to go and browse and leaf through books and just get away from everything else. I miss it.
