16157403 No.16157403 [Reply] [Original]

There was a thread started by some anon, in the last month or two, where he sperged out about how only one percent of /lit/ posters were having serious conversations.
He addressed a recommendation to them of some profound book with a warm cover that talked about the spirit of Classical civilization. Another anon said that this book and Spengler's Decline of the West were a great pair. It was obscure, I don't think it was Yockey or Toynbee. Does anyone remember what that book was?

I did not expect such conflict in my thread. I am currently searching the warosu archive and will inform you all if I find what I am seeking.

I have found it, my good fellows. I spent an hour searching warosu for it. My memory is a little faulty but I have found it. I looked up a bunch of terms, but looking up threads that contained "Roman City" and had a .jpg eventually turned this up.
The book is called The Ancient City.
