Stop being so disingenuous anon, no doubt Nietzsche focused on egoism in his philosophy but overall was against any absolute morality, while Wagner focused on Christian self-sacrifice and compassion, Redemption( through love), and above all morality. He was sincerely caring for Nietzsche's health, the doctor literally agreed with Wagner you can't exactly blame the latter in this circumstance. Wagner remained open to Nietzsche for the rest of his life. I mean no one can deny both of them were somewhat self-obsessed and somewhat mad poets.

This was Wagner's aim and he wrote about a Regeneration of the human condition and race among other things, through Art. And specifically, the Redeeming order which Wagner considered all great art to have within it. I wonder how, one would consider a great humanity reforming art, in a non-moral sort of way. However would you like to explain your idea of how Wagner should have created his art? A revolution in Theatre alone was equally important as a revolution in Music to Wagner, really more so than the latter to Wagner.
