As an absolute potentiality creating the universe by coming into existence by realizing itself. God is then both transcendent and immanent. He is not a static idea, but a constantly evolving (or decaying if you don't want a specific idea of that movement) in this world.

The 'mask of God' is created by us (as opposed to idea of God himself being created through us) and is often the god of theism; it is the divine Law against which we must transgress (Hebrews 10:20, veil of flesh, the grounded human experience).
