Last week, I went the whole week without browsing /lit/, and in the past few days I've returned. It has powerfully occurred to that this place is a timewasting dump and that I am much happier using the internet only for essential things. I invite you to join me. It's what Dave would've wanted. Tomes for this sentiment?
Goodbye, /lit/.

I wish I could join you OP but I don't have much social contact beyond this site, pathetic as it is to say. And I'm too lethargic and lazy to put in the effort to make human connections.

What do you do to fill the little moments of boredom in your life? Sitting on the toilet, at the bus stop, etc.

I neither can nor want to emotionally invest myself in a book for such small moments, but they obviously turn into much longer unwelcomed sessions when it's something as addictive as the internet.

That book was not nearly as impactful as I wish it was. What little Carr actually talks about the topic at hand is pretty bluepilled.

You know, I stopped browsing this board for a little over a year because of the terrible state of the board, but after starting to browse again a few weeks ago I find that I've been putting more time into reading. This place may be a timewasting dump but there are posts every now and then that are encouraging

It is quite encouraging, summer time is generally useless here and we have an election coming, /lit/ should be intolerable, but we have things like Writing General starting up and doing well. Think this is the first year in a decade that I did not give up on this place for the summer by mid June.
