The War of Art, good little book about the creative struggle. It taught me not to shun the feeling of disgust I feel at my own laziness but to instead turn it into energizing rage.

Obligatory Prometheus Rising mention (strongly recommend), it taught me that indeed people have vastly different reality-tunnels and that's both okay and good because you get to fuck around with them.

The Game of Life. Not actually a self-improvement book but it goes well with Prometheus Rising and elaborates on the 8-circuit consciousness model through a historic/evolutionary lens. I cannot recommend this book strongly enough.

Don't buy new stuff. Max out a roth IRA every year. (use vanguard, buy VTSMX then switch to VTSAX after the initial 10k. they're the cheapest) and don't buy frivolous shit.

80/20 principle by Koch changed how i do anything that is important, e.g. helped me increase my studying efficiency by significant degree (pass a math course in 1 week, used to take me 1 month), what i focus on at work etc.

Other gems are the books by the stoics, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Seneca etc. Changed how i interact with my life and people in it, made me a little calmer
