What a weirdly specific thing to be bothered by. How about Collected Poems? What about the name of the book itself? What a faggot.

>Collected Poems
of course this is accepted but you’re just being a pedant and I don’t appreciate it

What about Complete Poems, is that ok?

Sylvia Plath had a lot of trouble with the names for her poetry books. For example her last book started off called "A Rival" and then became "A Birthday Present" and then "Ariel". She did it with early ones too. "Colossus" was originally going to be "An Earthenware Head" IIRC.

tl;dr Sylvia Plath was a raving lunatic.

What if it's titled after a poem in the collection?

No. Did you not read what I said?

>Personae
>Songs of Innocence and Experience
>Flowers of Evil
>Spoon River Anthology

Lots of great poets have done this. And what are you supposed to do if you put out multiple collections?

Should musicians name their albums "[Aritist's name]: Songs"?

>> No.16072629

That‘s like artists naming their art. Vomit inducing. Let people have their own interpretations damn morons.

Number them like a normal human being instead of a selfabsorbed egotripper?

„Name“, „number“.
Why is this so hard?

>title of their poetry collection is the worst poem in the collection
>and it's the last poem so it ruins the readers mood after reading everything else

>> No.16072667

I don't even really title my poems that often, I usually just give them a roman numeral in the order I wrote them. Sometimes I name them if I feel like it
