But really i believe that Marx has become a scapegoat of sorts for all hostile leftist/pseudo-leftist ideologies and currents that are visible online now. It's a bit like the overton window. When the hardline /pol/lers say the hard-line right wing views like "deport blacks", all other views before it looks..rather calm. People are hostile to left winger's because it feels weird to see other opinions besides just hardline alt-rightist.

When the Russian revolution was happening, the Mensheviks argued that Russia needed to naturally go through a capitalist industrial phase in order for the revolution to be organic and not forced. Guess what happened to them though for speaking out. Lenin had critics from other places too, he was accused of Blanquism by Luxemburg and others, which Marx himself criticized when he was still alive. Blanquism is basically vanguardism, so the fact Marx opposed that suggests he would have had problems with Lenin as well. The entire 'Western Marxist' tradition (like Adorno and what not) was quite critical of the USSR.
