What does /lit/ think of this, and david sedaris in general?

i got naked on my kindle

should i read it?

Yeah, I like his style. He's pretty funny.

>> No.1606185

Someone else here said it, but it's apt, so I'll repeat it:

"If anyone could have written it, a Sedaris already did."

>> No.1606189

I've read 'Full House' and 'What I Learned'

'What I Learned' was pretty hilarious, 'Full House' was 90% awkward and 10% humorous.

I think he's a lot funnier than the average person. Plus, he's gay.

Gay people always have a good sense of humour. It's essential for what they do.

I just had a weird thought, gay people have sex with gay men don't they?

At least the men. I thought it should be obvious, but, well there you go.

Strangely, I wrote that post and I never read the guy.

I guess I should get on a plane.

I think this sums up where the United States of America is culturally and artistically.

When work like this is considered something worth having, the culture is in serious trouble.

Regardless of the author's sexuality, his works should be aside the humour books of Tim Allen, Maddox, Larry the Cable Guy, etc...

Self-indulgent shit.

I love David Sedaris.

Anyone that doesn't love his stories has to hate reading. They're so easy to read. I don't understand how someone could not like him. He's funny, articulate, and unique.

Then we'd be fags

This was not my intent. But I will say that Garrison Keillor is 100 times better for the soul than David Sedaris.

Sedaris is just as noteworthy as Elmore Leonard.
Both positively and negatively.

I like him, too. But I'm not about to post all the results of a Google Image search with my posts, tonight.

Also, Brautigan looked like Michael Stivic's father.
