Schopenhauer or Nietzsche? Denying or affirming life?

Leaving aside that you cannot not will, the way it seems is that there is a certain ethos that perceives the Schopenhauerian way as more wise, but is that a proof how far decadence has made us fall?

People who remain obsessed with Nietzsche are as you described. But that's because his philosophy was more a jumping off point than an end in an of itself. Tons of modern philosophies start with Nietzschean questions and posits. It's partially why he talks about being the bridge to the overman, not the overman itself.

what if modern philosphers are just plebs the elite allow to rise to promenance so people think their ideas have value and spend time discussing them like they have some innate value when the philosophers themselves either barely scratched the truth or have become invalidated by modern technology that not many people know about.

I mean what the fuck is the point of spending a bunch of time and money on philosophical books when you can have brainchips linked to AI which then guides your life and thought patterns as a more harmonized realization of those out dated philosophers ideas.

It basically comes to a point where I am familiar with Nietzsche at sparks notes level and likely been influenced by a society that already digested his ideas I now need to waste my time and money to read his books which will restate stuff I already know and have integrated into my life just so I can smell my own farts and say I read Nietzsche so I'm better than you.
Bitch I have intuited Nietzche and Sphopenhauer and all the greats within my life already and I dont think their ghosts would give a flying fuck if I bought and read their books and would much rather I say fuck the system and not pay anything and focus on more direct concerns like neuroscience or meditation.

To me it feels like this day in age the ideas of Nietzsche or Shopenhauer are extremely valid but instead of wasting our time reading and processing old information we should be taking direct action in the world and spend more time writing our own thoughts than worshiping at the alter of dead masters who had their time.

I think Schopenhauer would agree with me.
