considering how they have saved me tens of thousands of rupees by not having to p*y for books, I would say its a decent investment

I bought Kobo H2O about 5 years ago and still works very well. Waterproof, sd card slot, 260dpi screen (text looks almost like on paper), fully featured software (bookmarks, notes, reading stats, good-enough text customization), can read basically any format, software is still maintained and have regular updates.
It was quite expensive when I bought it, but man, totally worth it.

I mean you don't need to re-translate books every month, or release a new edition every half a year. Just give me the book written by the author, or translate it into english.

I can smell the reddit in this comment. But I'm being serious, books are free. Fuck people who profiteer off of long dead authors.

Dunno, anon. I have better things to do than lecturing an uneducated anon. You can keep your barbarian customs and I'm completely happy with it.

Hahaha. So you can retreat and still pretend to have "won". Reddit debating tactics.

I just don't care, anon. Debate culture is retarded. Internet debate is even more retarded. Nothing of value is created in a forum thread.

Is it still impossible to comfortably read a pdf file on a ereader?

>> No.15936843

>>15936835
I dunno but I think the general rule of thumb is to avoid pdfs on ereaders.
I don't see why you would need to read PDF though, since most books are already uploaded in epub/mobi format.

>>15936843
most lit books probably but what I would really like to read are academic books and those ones tend to not be in epub format

I want to be able to read them at night, so I would need e-ink, that's the only thing I care for with ereaders

Do you recommend a 10 inch e ink reader or a 10 inch tablet? I like the kindle's screen but I'd also like to read pdfs that cannot be converted. My eyes are shit and sensitive so a tablet is not ideal but so is the ereader's price.

>> No.15937379

>>15937353
It doesn't break when it falls and you can read outdoors. Other than that get a tablet. I would go for a tablet considering the price of 10' ereaders.
