Is there any value in the Marquis de Sade's literature? I think I'm becoming a fag because of 120 days of Sodom.

The modern lgbt community is a disgrace to true perversionand sodomy.

There is literally no value anon and I mean this unironically. You would waste your time reading shitty literotica on the internet, at least it could be so bad you'd laugh

Barthes stated that his work ought to be taught in school, despite the pornographic content, as models in writing because of how grammatically tight (teehee) and graceful his sentences were.

Juliette might be worth a read so you can have a grasp of Adorno's Dialectic of Enlightenment.

Honestly. De Sade is hilarious and disconcerting. LBGT movement writing is so self-pitying and whenever it tries to fly in the direction of "let's have an orgy and be hedonists" it feels so half-hearted and put-on, as if they're only trying to bait a reaction that they can later use in one of their self-pity pieces. We always hear about how gay people are hilarious, and I know several who are funny in reserved ways, but the gay "persona" in the media right now is deeply unfunny and frankly boring.

No, it's best you burn his shit before you become infected in the mind. Anyway, if you're gay, it would be best to read other authors who are gay and not read de Sade.

>> No.15923053

>>15920605

I think there are many other writers who can do the same and should be studied but not de Sade.

Good point. Klossowski says something similar in his study of Sade, My Neighbor:
>Homosexuality, which is not an intrinsic perversion, must be distinguished from sodomy, which is. Like heterosexual forms of behavior, homosexual practices admit of giving rise to an institution, as has been seen many times in the history of human societies. [In contrast to sodomy, which] evinces an attitude not only of refusal but of aggression.
