Is Mark Fisher actually worth reading or just a meme?

Capitalist realism is a great little essay. I haven't read much else by him but it's probably going to be pretty good as well.

>Capeshit
He mentions Children of Men and Office Space in Capitalist Realism. Neither one of them has any relation to capeshit. And the whole point is that culture reflects certain aspects of wider social problems. But I guess I just got baited.

Recently finished Capitalist Realism and enjoyed it as a novice to critical theory. Just about the right amount of philosophical referencing for me to follow the line of each thought. Don't really tread the Marxist path myself but the overall thesis is compelling.
Currently reading Ghosts of My Life which is a different animal with lots of reflections on popular British culture of a certain period from an obviously tortured soul. Interesting to see deconstruction of Jungle music, plus the chapters on Jimmy Savile and the critique of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy are like penetrating articles from a Sunday newspaper magazine.
Where to go from here?

If you like his stuff I think his blog, k-punk, is still up and explores a lot of those subjects. Theres also a published collection of his unpublished works and stuff from his blog, if you don’t want to dig through his old site. I think that book’s about 800 pages or more so it’s pretty hefty but it’s probably the next step if you just like Mark Fisher.

you're a literal retard who has never read anything by him. Fisher was a great art critic, he was mostly influenced by avant garde electronic and 70s post punk
