Who else is studying Classical Latin? Just got wheelocks, and it’s one of the few language learning books that don’t baby you with the language, something I really like. I also got the Aeneid in Latin and Winnie Ille Pu, as well as LLPSI (as an ebook). I have to say, this language is a blast, and I highly recommend learning it just for the fun of it :).

Based Wheelock poster. I got 24 chapters in self studying like 10 years ago. Want to do it again. Was using Mnemosyne for flash cards too

I just write all of the grammar on pieces of paper and sort of scan it until it gets saved in my brain. Worked pretty well for me. What I don’t like about this specific Aeneid is that half of the page is a glossary, making for a very deceiving read in terms of page count.

Wonderful! In a time where university students can come from multiple countries and speak different languages, I feel like latin can be implemented as a sort of middle ground and lingua franca of academia again.

The books you see before you. Wheelock to actually learn the language, Winnie Ille Pu to start out reading simple Latin, and the Aeneid in Latin for advanced reading.
