I'm reading it on kindle with a pirated epub. I like it because it lets me easily access endnotes.
Doesn't have page numbers, but I'm currently at the chapter in which Ivan and Alyosha are sitting in a tavern having a deep discussion, so I think a little under halfway through.
I think Ivan is the most interesting of the brothers, since he was initially pretty hard to pin down since he seemed to tell others what they wanted to hear/ what would give them the impression of him he desired, and even now I don't know if what he's telling Alyosha is genuine or not (I think it is but am not sure).

Yeah, Ivan is quite the Sphinx as Mitya says. I liked the bar conversation a lot. I had the feeling he was being genuine, it didn't even occur to me that he wouldn't be. hmm...

Dunno, seems like a normie book to me. It is a bit boring to read the pages of A begat B, C, D. B begat E, F, G. A lived 23947829874 years. Nothing too complicated but a bit boring, I already got past that part though.

I'm not reading it anymore but I recently read a book called Tibetan Venture which was a memoir of a man who traveled to Tibet in the late 30s. It was really entertaining, I love reading things which aren't part of a grand narrative, which exist oblivious to most of the rest of the world.

Reading this now though

It's damn comfy. I love reading about someone who practices a skill with single minded devotion, learning from peers and standing down rivals. And it's a real payoff to see all the pain and hard work leading up to each little milestone of success.

Good to know. Just starting Phaedo. Euthyphro was kinda tedious but Crito was highly thought-provoking and Apology had me tearing up.

Yeah Apology was my person favourite.

I’m reading the Martin Hammond translation of Iliad so nothing to compare it to and just got to the death of Petroklas, absolutely loving it and can’t wait for Odyssey. Thinking of Theogony after that
