webcomics are often dogshit. they are reductions reduced, where simplicity and elegance are unseparated from mindless box-checking in terms of producing work-- the downfalls of deadlines brought to an ad nauseum point.
I'd like to be less harsh, if only people like this guy and the xkcd fellow didn't so severely overestimate their importance and intelligence. compressing all moral and political arguments to 4-panel strawmen has this effect on people I guess...
