Why don't you read Audiobooks, /lit/? I was able to read 20 books so far this year by listening to them when I go for walks and drive in the car. 6 of them were long books, close to or well over 500 pages (including Grapes of Wrath, Great Expectations, Moby-Dick, and Jane Eyre). It was my second time reading Moby-Dick, and the experience was completely different – As I was picking up on many details I had missed while reading it in its traditional printed form.

I would highly recommend Audiobooks to all of you, since you will be able to boost the amount that you are able to read considerably!

Audiobooks are extremely annoying. You can't look anything up. You can't reread a passage you like. The voices are slow and have disgusting accents. Just an all together unpleasant experience. I'd rather not read at all than transmute the printed word into noise, like some kind of reverse alchemy of gold to lead.

I also like to read transcribed rock music with lyrics rather than listening to it.
