I was looking to insert a third party who would act as a barometer for Luna's mental stability through the fic, possibly be the Super-Ego to the Succubus serving as Luna's Id, with Luna's conscious self being the Ego.

I originally figured it'd was Ginny, seeing as she was one of Luna's few friends. But, I think I'll go with your idea of a talking pet, and reduce Ginny's part. Let's get over the fact that I write like complete shit, your idea isn't going to challenge me any more than pairing up the Anti-Hermione[as Rowling described Luna] with Hermione would. The two of them contrast nicely, though. It'll be fun.
