I like Zola to an extent. His writing style is interesting and it's still pretty cool to have the social picture of the late 19th century, in my opinion. It's completely biased of course, but yet not irrelevant. Everything is so dirty and nasty, it's pretty intense. But it can be very boring, I'll give you that.
