Wrote 5000 words, didn't like it
>SCRAPPED
Wrote a 1000 word short story for the /lit/ quarterly still waiting to see if it's accepted but they have a lot of shit to go through.
2500 words, didn't like how it flowed
>On Hold
150 words or so on a new one that I've planned out, think it'll be good.

Have a weird problem where I'm afraid to expand to much in case I end up rambling then I notice I only wrote 3/4 pages worth and a load of shit happened. Don't know if it's from constant essay writing but it's annoying as fuck not being able to put a lot of detail down without feeling like I'm rambling.

Should also mention I wrote that 5000 and 2500 word bits in about a week for the former and 2 days for the latter.

Fucking horrible derivative garbage trash nonsense.
I wrote fucking 10,000 words while I was high off my rocker and all I could manage was some stupid bullshit made in some language I made up that the reader is able to translate via context.

is it better to have one character with an arc or three? i suppose it depends on context, but i'm curious if you think three is too much/distracting, or if one is not enough. the three would all be tied together of course

>> No.15668426

>>15668408
You could have one or two main character and then have the second/third characters have their background and arc told through the length of the book by other people. Like the way Molly's story was told through Bloom and other characters.

Three characters tied together sounds pretty good, in a Samuel Beckett sort of way.

Remember to have long passages where they complain about being tied together but don't ever have them untie themselves even though it's easily within their powers.

I finished 90 pages first draft for kierkegaardian horror-thriller script (Tho i'm still not sure about the ending).

I still have a lot of work and a lot to filter but i took a break for a few weeks.

Pretty good, anon. And if I can do it, anyone can. Believe that hard work makes for tangible results and keep plodding on.

I cope by reminding myself that almost all great work made by 35+ years old and that age isn't a big factor in art (maybe beside music). If my passion was physics i would've gone mad.
