>NOOOOOOOO NOT THE HECKIN SPINERINO
Anyone else enjoys the process of slowly destroying the book during the read-through? Cracking the spine, dogearing the pages, doodling on the pages, leaving coffee strains etc, its all part of the experience for me, and I immediately throw a book in the trash after I finish it. I think people who treat their books like sacred relics or shelf decorations are huge gay

No, I hate that. Disturbs me. I honestly feel bad reading things like that, maybe it is because I don't feel worthy of destroying something like that.

I camped on an island with a copy of The Brothers Karamazov and by the end it was completely wrecked. Kinda satisfying

You're not wrecking the spine of a hardcover when you do that. Poorly chosen image.

Here, have an actual disposable book to shitpost with from here on.

Something like what? A fucking stack of paper with a layer of glue in the middle? I think don't many people on lit buy artisan leatherbounds with handwritten gothic manuscripts

Why are poorfags also the most destructive of their personal property?

>Cracking the spine
Somewhat inevitable if you read enough, should only be done deliberately at the book's midpoint.
>doodling on the pages
Acceptable only if you're highlighting passages and/or making notes. Even then should only be done with a lower-tier edition.
>dogearing the pages
>leaving coffee strains
>I immediately throw a book in the trash after I finish it
Degenerate

I'm okay with most of these, but if you have coffee stains on your books than you're either some fucking Parkinson disease mother fucker or are intentionally dripping coffee on your books like a total faggot.
