Good literature for learning to be more modest as a Christian female? I've been in a secular environment for most of my life and am looking into more traditional Orthodox Christianity right now.

Thanks for all the book recommendations and this series of talks in the previous threads, I'll be looking into those.

Hermes Trismegistus was portrayed in Russian churches as an "external philosopher" in the Middle Ages. You can also find images of Plato, Aristotle, Virgil and other ancient authors. Some consider them "Christians before Christ" (Plato, Aristotle) or those who have mentioned the coming incarnation of God (Virgil).

I see your point, but one needs to detach modern (neo)hermeticism from Hermes Trismegistus, modern platonism from Plato, etc. Those disciplines can be studied externally from a historical point of view, but not practiced or taken as full truth in any serious way now that Christ has made God known to the nations. Evola rejected the truth and following in his footsteps leads only to death.

If you know Greek, Serbian or Russian you can read biographies of Orthodox Saints, I used to read these when I was younger and still lived with my religious family. I'm sure you can find some in English too, but I don't know about their quality or quantity.
