I live in a poor foreign country. I spend my days writing. I teach part time to pay the bills. I earn enough to rent a house and buy groceries, which are inexpensive here. I spend my nights reading free books on my ereader and cuddling with my girlfriend. I dress all in black and shave my head once every six months. I only drink Diet Coke and Belgian beer. I'm currently writing for a TV show but my real work is a literary novel. I'm editing the final draft now. I sleep five hours a night. This might not be the literary lifestyle, but it gives me time and space and energy to read and write.
