You're right, I don't think beauty necessarily correlates with happiness but there is a certain degree of pleasure that is required in viewing beauty. Not everyone can find happiness from looking at a beautiful painting, and some people might get sad from it and cry, but there are emotions attached to the art that convey something deeper that's find only in the human experience
