neither. it does not claim to be a "text on psychopathy" since it does not contain any original research. it is a good read and the cases it describes are interesting. however be aware that it was criticised by people working in the field because it was felt its style could deter people from seeking help. ronson, like louis theroux, seeks sensationalism but he's still a good writer.
