Why do people respond to these? Every datamining/"poll" thread will engage around 1 post to every 1 poster, whereas threads with real discussion will have maybe 200 posts with ~40 posters. Judging by this, most people on /lit/ just make 1 or 2 posts here and there in the threads that don't even have anything remotely to do with literature apart from literature being a characteristic or an item. Same goes for many other boards, like /mu/
