When I was younger I had a book called, I'm almost certain, "the people and culture of Switzerland" it was in a blue binding, had some glossy black and white pictures in the center, it was pretty old, and it was part of a series of "the people and culture of..." books. I'm not sure where it went, and I'm having trouble googling it, has anybody at least heard of this series? I just want to know I'm not crazy. Also I'm sorry for insulting Snow Crash here all those years ago, I was young and in a strange place when I tried to read it.

OP here, found it, it was The Land and People of Switzerland, part of the Portraits of the Nations series.

Glad you found it OP. Also, don't feel bad about insulting Snow Crash. It's not a great book. It's fine for what it is but people who think it is incredible are all simps/redditors.
