When yelling about which belief is better, there is no insight. On each end, those involved are too committed to their belief, buddha or shankara or whoever, nobody flips to the other side. This is why the thread is the exact same thread as the one before it. No change (some irony). But the beliefs always have so much more in common then they have in contrast. There is much to discuss which is in interest of both parties and can lead to new insight.
