I don't understand why people like this book. I finished it waiting for something awesome to happen and it never did. There's no fighting, no wars, no magic battles and nobody even comes close to being in a life threatening situation. Where's the tension and suspense in that? Speaking of tension, how come Kvothe is 16 or so and every time he gets close to a girl and his dick gets a little hard, he ignores it so he can study about magic shit? His fuckin lute playing should be getting him all kinds of ass, nevermind how much he rules at pretty much everything else. I don't think this book deserves the praise and hype it gets. Your thoughts?
