I'll make you a chart of essential med school novels and light non fiction but you need to realize that the majority of learning in medicine is first rote memorization and second experiential. There's no passive reading or being smart enough, you either remember what you need to when you're asked by an attending or you do not. Same when you're an attending pretty much, any acute situation you don't have time to look up shit so you need to know your anatomy, toxidromes, patient tendencies, whatever, off the top of your head.

get good grades in college and publish research, don't worry about medicine until you're in med school.

Why didn't you include biology? Do you consider it a lesser science not worth of being in the same category as the others?
