He's go a PhD in political science.

Martin Heidegger is generally regarded as one of the most significant—if also the most controversial—philosophers of the 20th century. Most scholarly engagement with Heidegger’s thought on Modernity approaches his work with a special focus on either his critique of technology, or on his more general critique of subjectivity. This dissertation project attempts to elucidate Martin Heidegger’s diagnosis of modernity, and, by extension, his thought as a whole, from the neglected standpoint of his understanding of mathematics, which he explicitly identifies as the essence of modernity.

Accordingly, our project attempts to work through the development of Modernity, as Heidegger understands it, on the basis of what we call a “mathematical dialectic.“ The basis of our analysis is that Heidegger’s understanding of Modernity, both on its own terms and in the context of his theory of history [Seinsgeschichte], is best understood in terms of the interaction between two essential, “mathematical” characteristics, namely, self-grounding and homogeneity. This project first investigates the mathematical qualities of these components of Modernity individually, and then attempts to trace the historical and philosophical development of Modernity on the basis of the interaction between these two components—an interaction that is, we argue, itself regulated by the structure of the mathematical, according to Heidegger’s understanding of the term.

The project undertaken here intends not only to serve as an interpretive, scholarly function of elucidating Heidegger’s understanding of Modernity, but also to advance the larger aim of defending the prescience, structural coherence, and relevance of Heidegger’s diagnosis of Modernity as such.

What a load of word salad. There is no mathematical relation between identifying something with its usage. It is a cause and
qualitative/quantitative estimated effect. If I want to beat the living shit out of someone, I can use my fists, since they are hard. But if I have a baseball bat, I would rather use that, since it hurts them more and me less. I know that a baseball bat is meant for baseballs, but I know that baseball bats are hard and in this scenario, I am using it to beat the shit out of somebody with something harder (and qualitatively better) than my fists. Unless you needlessly attach numbers, there is only a
relatively quantitative sum to the qualitative feeling I wish to instill upon this person. Numbers need not apply. Only more or less.

But numbers does not imply the existence of math. If I have 3 oranges and 5 apples, which is better?
The reason this guy can get away with it is because he is using the frame of oranges to oranges with intent of enhancing the purpose which is not necessarily a mathematical equation, but rather a relation between similar metrics. A person can completely squeeze an orange in two minutes. A hand squeezer can do it in 20 seconds. Thus, the hand squeezer is better in the relation of volume/time, technology progresses, and modernity is reached. I admit my example was a bad one in that it happened to follow his theory in a caveman form. But looking at the thesis of his paper, provided by >>15161504, he attempts to envelope this caveman form merely by saying that a relation is a mathematical form, rather than a specific formula. To add insult to injury, this is based on what Beattie thinks Heidegger knew of the mathematical realm.

The first 9 are all either foundational mathematicians within their field, or veritable paradigm shifters within their field. And the tenth fucking solved Fermat's last. Convince me that one of them needs to be kicked off the list to make room for Kolmogorov.
Kolmogorov was a brilliant mathematician, don't get me wrong, but I'm not putting a mathematician in the same category as Hilbert or Grothendieck just for applying meaure theory to probability and/or doing some economics.
