>You're thinking about including Kate Bush as your protagonist's favourite musician, but you are not familiar enough with her music to incorporate her in this way?
This, anon. Why do you wanna put Kate Bush as your main woman favourite then?
Also, a rec: one of the lastest favourites of mine is "James and the cold gun":

The part where it goes ooh-wahoo-ooh-ooh always get me. Is a more rock and roll oriented Kate, quite unnusual, lol.

There’s always a bit of posturing and unfamiliarity when writing a novel, can you disagree?

Pynchon didn’t know everything about Mason & Dixon when he started writing the book. DFW didn’t know about tax law and IRS agents when he started writing the Pale King. Ultimately I am a little familiar with Kate Bush but not totally, and I like the aesthetic and age which she evokes, and I want to explore the possibility.

There was actually a /lit/ anon who made a song (maybe a few songs) on YouTube, they may have been adaptions of the songs Pynchon included or they may have been his own interpretation of the plot but I remember really enjoying it. He even did an animation for it too.
