That’s a lot of books! I don’t really read the same types of books that she does, YA and manga, so it doesn’t make me feel bad. I read 3-4 books a month usually, on track to read 50+ books this year. So far this year I’ve read some Goethe, Bunyan, Kafka, Gogol, Nabokov, Borges, Dickens, Shakespeare, and Faulkner. Even though I’m pretty okay with the amount of books I’m getting through, I think I could could still read more if I was a little more disciplined, but if I keep my rate above 40 books every year I think that’s pretty stellar.

This. I read 5 audio books every night while sleeping. When your brain isn't using all it's energy being in a conscious state it can easily absorb multiple sources of information at once. I used to read 8 books at once while sleeping but I have woken up blind before because i overloaded my sensory receptors in my brain for too long so I cut down to 5 books at once.
