Who have you read prior to this? It’s really not something you can just dive into.

If you’ve read no philosophy at all, it’s a bad idea to start with Kant. Putting aside the “start with the Greeks” meme (which you should be aware of anyways) it would be helpful to at least have read Hume, Berkeley and Leibniz before attempting Kant.

I jumped into Kant after having read Plato/Aristotle, Descartes, Leibniz, Spinoza and Hume. Never needed any secondary sources outside of lectures (Wolff has a series on youtube which is alright). Also make sure you read Kant's Prolegomena first and take time to understand the actual framework of transcendental idealism before the nitty gritty in the Deduction and Schema. Heidegger's book on Kant is very helpful but it is a bit skewed towards Heideggerian thought. The B-Deduction, Schema and Analogies are arguably the most important parts so take lots of notes and try to think through the argumentation yourself as much as possible. If you are having trouble earlier (say the Aesthetic of ToJ) then you definitely need to go back and read more Aristotle and dig into some of Kant's older essays and Leibnizian philosophy first.
