He usually puts math in the appendix, so stay out of there. And if you want more clarification on a concept, search for keywords on his Twitter, as he usually clarifies there. His arguments are short but very complex, so they take a bit to understand.

Stats is the most important branch of math for parsing data and getting an understanding of reality.

Bonus it gets you thermodynamics too, which is the only branch of physics that can be derived without experiments.
