All right /lit/, with my dream of building a cabin in the woods and living in it for a while beginning to nag at me again; shoot me some recommendations to cope with the isolation/ things to keep me sane once I detach. I'm estimating about 2 months away from human contact, with a lot of supplies and natural views to keep me entertained. All that's missing is good books.
I've read Desert Solitaire, and Into the Wild but I want more.

The isolated narcissists are good people who just care about themselves and building a perfect world which strives them to perfection. Then theres the othery type, unstable

Reminder to achieve this lifestyle here is what you need to do.

1. File back taxes for the past 5 years with a reported income over 150k a year.

2. Don't pay them.

3. Declare bankruptcy, thus absolving you from tax repayment.

4. Find a good doctor and lawyer and establish a basis for disability.

5. File for and collect the maximum SSDI benefit of $3040/month (tax free) + SNAP ($200 month for food) + Medicaid

6. Go live in the woods, devote your life to self-mastery, server human contact, work on vehicles and read until you die.

Thank you, anon. You're right about bitterness and disappointment being poisonous to quality of life.
I truly needed to hear this at this point in my life. I hope you're well.

That's helpful but doesn't answer my question.
