All but one of my English teacher praised my writing. The one who didn't told me flat out that I was an asshole coasting on the fact that I was well read enough to construct sentences, and if she could grade me strictly on effort she would fail my lazy ass.

She's the only one of my former English teachers I still respect, for that. (Now - at the time, I fucking hated her)
