ITT: Unpopular opinions

I thought this is Vonnegut's best book.

I know this board shits on him a lot but Slaughterhouse Five is one of my favourite books. Very comfy read and you can finish it in a day or two.

The best modern writing is being lost to the ether of internet posting (not this board though).

Kurt Vonnegut embodies every reason to hate post-modernism

>Slaughterhouse Five is one of my favourite books. Very comfy read
It's a solid book, some of his work hasn't really stood the test of time but I still think Mother Night, Cat's Cradle, The Sirens of Titan and a good amount of his short stories hold up quite nicely. What I like most about him is that a lot of deep truths mask the ironic and humorous statements he makes.

>> No.14965265

Bluebeard is a bit slow and reads like a Nancy Meyers movie. The real ranking is
1.) Cat's Cradle
2.) Slaughterhouse 5
3.) Breakfast of Champions
4.) Mother Night
5.) Galapagos
