not philosophers

what do you mean?
Wether you mean it in a positive or in a negative way, it's false. What about Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Heidegger, Foucault, Deleuze or even marxist and neo-marxist philosophers like Lukacs, Adorno, Agnes Heller or Zizek?

I forgot how fucking stupid communism as a workers unification ideology is. The average person might read one drug store paperback a year

I would want marxist threads to get banned, by default, but that would make people think marxism was anything besides not being worthwhile.

well that's not the point of theory, and if you read that list to the end it basically debunks the entire teleology of the communist project (if not the entire project of enlightenment). You can be a marxist and not a communist, the dialectic trumps any petty ideological considerations.

First of all, Theory is not communism neither is it marxist. Immanuel Kant, Friedrich Nietzsche, Weber and Derrida (just to name a few authors in this list) were not marxist, and some of them were opposed to marxism. Also, marxist theory was not meant to be read by uneducated working class people of the mid-1800s, but rather people like Engels, that is to say capitalists who were conscious about the problems of capitalism as a system, and, later on, the most educated members of the working class as well. Why do you think The Communist Manifesto exists? Because Marx and Engels knew perfectly that the working class could not read "Das Kapital", but could read a brief and nimble pamphlet.

So what? Stalin is still not an actual philosopher. Zizek writes about movies as well, but that doesn't mean movies are the same as philosophy essays. Stalin's writings were political writings, and the same could be said about Mao. Lenin could actually be considered a philosopher because he didn't limit himself to political writings around themes like dialectics. He wrote Materialism and Empirio-criticism, for instance, and that's an actual philosophy essay. I doubt Mao or Stalin ever wrote something similar to that.
