14648370 No.14648370 [Reply] [Original]

>am a 30 yr old award winning author
>new novel of three years influenced by Gogol. Chekhov. K Dick. Stanislaw Lem.
>Hire reading service.
>After three weeks she messages me saying she had to stop part way in due to having no time.
>"Oh? But do you have anything to say about what you did read?"
>"Sorry, no."
>Go on twitter.
>she says she read a creepy horrible book and has a new opening in her schedule.
>gets many likes from females saying 'I hate when that happens' and the like.
>a week later. she says on twitter a dystopian vampire YA she just read is the best book she's ever read.
>Look up the vampire YA novel.
>It's by a 16 yr old girl.
>Learn my reader was an 18 yr old girl
>find she has a booktube where she rips Shakespeare apart.

I know females at that age are truly stupid but I have been in despair over this, at the assuredness in which she dismissed my magnum opus that took three years to write finding nothing to even remark about it. My self-esteem is shattered by a little ant. I just wanted to see how a commoner and layman would take my text to see if I have a shot at being received by the masses.

Fool my first novel was read by one of the top agents in NYC. He gave me his personal email for when I have a new manuscript. This little girl's remarks were devastating. She rolls her eyes to the back of her head. She sips from the coffee mug. She lets her tongue hang out her lips joking with her sister. Those same senses were the first to experience my greatest work and react with total brutal ignorant dismissal. There is no cuckery in this world so stinging.

It sounds so fucking bad, like pure, distilled drek, more horrifying and grotesque than any of Huxley's imaginations.
