I'm all for cultural appropriation but the book is a work of FICTION. Who cares if shes "White"?
>Born in Spain has a Latina grandma.
>Conducted research in Mexico for the novel, visiting migrant shelters and orphanages, interviewing humanitarian aid workers and lawyers who work with migrants, and volunteering at a desayunador (soup kitchen) in Tijuana.
Why can't authors write their stories?

she deserves it for writing about migrants

Because mexicans and other minorities see publishing as a zero-sum game. More royalties going to a white woman means fewer royalties for them - that's how business works, right? And to add insult to injury, this white oppressor has stepped on their cultural turf! It's an outrage!

It’s funny to see progressive zoomers get red pilled, in the same way everyone else has been for years.
Is this a troll of some kind?
