If you complain to customer service they probably won't refund the entire value of your purchase but they'll probably give you a credit for 5-10 dollars, I routinely complain about them even being a day late and they give me a 5 dollar credit even if the item itself was only like 5 bucks, so in effect for small purchases you do get a refund but otherwise usually just a little pity credit. Funny really.

idk what country you're in but in the uk amazon has the most fucking ridiculously easy lost parcel customer services
other companies make you sign letters confirming it's not been received or wait for the courier company to do an investigation and attempt to 'resolve' it (this never works)
t. someone who works for another company and we make the customer do all that shit before we refund them because 90% of the time it's either delayed at a hub and turns up the next day or a neighbour who signed for it brings it round
