How do I write a good plot for a short story? All I do are either shit or a rip off

I'd suggest not caring about it being a rip off. In general, and this goes for all productive endeavors, whether it be composing/writing/building/painting/chess-playing, you ought to do something so much that the lower-level stuff becomes automated, ingrained in your fingers, subconsciuos. Of course, try your best to write a good plot, but plots are half-way planned and half-way created as the story goes along, and the better you get at doing the lower-level stuff (creating a scene, creating characters) the more brain power you will have left over for thinking about a plot, and the more material your brain will have to create a plot out of.

Write a story about a chef who was asked to make dessert for the king on his 50th birthday and ordered 50 pounds of sugar instead of flour.
