So /lit/ what ebook readers would you recommend?

all I'm looking for is a reader that would handle most, if not all file formats I throw at it

you know, download a file and instantly send it to the e-reader through USB

I was thinking of the $139 amazon kindle, thoughts? Or would you guys have other recommendations (that are not sarcastic replies of actual books)

For you maybe: other people may enjoy the knowledge that there is a library of books contained in this small device.

I personally prefer books as I like looking at my bookshelf and seeing the novels stretch from left to right on my bookshelf. I also enjoy, whilst reading, to pause and almost completely close the book and with some odd geometry in my mind, figure about roughly how far I am from the end.
